Six movies released today in both the Telugu States. Sukumar's maiden Production Kumari 21F, Kamal Hassan's Cheekati Rajyam are the major ones while Spectre (Telugu and English versions), Chiru Godavalu, dubbing film, Maariyan and Okkaditho are the other releases. Kumari 21F is the pick of the audience this Friday as evident from the advance bookings.
Kumari 21F openings are very good in both the states. Like never before in the past, the movie is also being released in extra theaters. Extra shows are also being added in some centers. The talk of the movie is divided as some are objecting to the bold content in the film. But since youth are connecting well to the film that segment of audience are likely to make the film success.
Cheekati Rajyam on the other side had seen a weak opening. The movie's Tamil version is a decent hit and the talk in the Telugu states is also good but still the openings are weak. Probably due to the failure streak of Kamal Hassan in the recent times. The movie may pick up over the weekend due to the positive talk and reviews.
Spectre also got decent openings for both the versions but the talk and reviews are totally disappointing. Rest of the three films — Chiru Godavalu, Maariyan and Okkaditho did not manage to make any buzz at the box office. Except for Maariyan, rest may be ruled out right away.
