Manam is one of the very different film in Telugu Cinema after a long time. Many critics do not even hesitate to name it as a classic film in the history. Manam director Vikram Kumar is currently directing Tamil Superstar Suriya in a Tamil film, 24. But it is said that that the script was first meant to our Mahesh Babu.
The movie is about time—travel and Suriya will be seen in a triple role as an elder brother, younger brother and also as the son of the elder brother in the film. When Vikram approached Mahesh with this script, the actor was very impressed with the first half of the movie. However he had his apprehensions about the second half.
Since Vikram and Mahesh could not arrive at a common point regarding the second half, they parted ways. Suriya lapped it up. The first look posters of the movie have released recently and they managed to create good curiosity in the audience as a different and interesting project once again from Vikram.
The movie is being planned for Summer-2016 release. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen play the female leads and the film has music by A.R. Rahman. The movie is expected to have a simultaneous release in Telugu and Tamil. We will have to see if Mahesh Babu will repent leaving out the script!
