Kollywood has witnessed several movie in the year 2015 and very few movies did the magic at Box-Office. Rest of them were either flop or they were just critically acclaimed. Some movies managed to collect more money than expected. Let's see the top grossers in this year.
1. Vedalam
'Vedalam' is the number one grosser in Kollywood. The action thriller featured Ajith in lead role and the actor did what he does best. The movie is a clear entertainer and it also spoke about the safety of Women. The movie on the whole managed to collect Rs.121 Crores.
2. Kanchana 2
Raghava Lawrence does his best with usual horror comedy template. Lawrence himself and Taapsee did lead roles. Telugu producer Bellamkonda Suresh grabbed the Telugu version rights. The movie has collected a total of Rs.118 Crores.
3. 'I'
Shankar's 'I' is in third spot. The reason the movie was made in huge scale. Despite making collections of 188 Crores, the movie ranks third. The making alone cost 148 Crores. The movie released across 3350 theatres.
4. Yennai Arindhaal
Once again another Ajith movie and this cop thriller was directed by Gautam Vasudev Menon. Anushka and Trisha did lead roles and the movie has trademark of Gautam Menon all over. The movie earned 101 Crores and it was crafted in a budget of 48 Crores.
5. ThaniOruvan
The movie which won both the Box-office as well as the critics. Ravi who never had such a blockbuster for years tasted huge success. The movie grossed 69 Crores. AGS Entertainment funded the venture.
