The entire city of Chennai is devastated due to torrential rains and overflowing floods. People are still struggling to make a comeback to their routine lives. In this case, lots of actors came forward to support them. Raghava Lawrence contributed a huge sum of Rs.1 Crore.
Next to him was Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan who contributed 1 Crore. Tamil actors also donated as much as they can and they also did relief work. Siddharth and RJ Balaji were the first to start the rescue operation.
In this case, Kamalhaasan and Rajinikanth were the only actors who were criticized. Rajini donated 10 lakhs and Kamal just took a hit against the Government. Even after some time he said, he never meant to scold the Government and his words were misinterpreted.
Rajini earned wrath of social media as he just provided meagre sum of 10 lakhs. But inside sources said, the first fund was provided on 1st December and that time the floods were not so heavy.
