1. Gandhi (1982)
This movie is a biographical drama and it is based on the major events which happened in life of Mohandas Gandhi. Ben Kingsley did the lead role. Richard Attenborough produced and directed the project. The movie won 8 Oscars in the year 1983.
2. Border (1997)
This is war movie based on the Indo-Pak war in 1971. JP Dutta directed the movie and the movie is about how a band of 120 Indian soldiers successfully defended their camp against the whole Pakistan Army until Indian Air Force came next morning. The movie bagged 2 National Awards and 4 Film fare Awards

Ajay Devgn essayed role of Bhagat Singh in this movie. He acted along with Shivaram Rajguru(Santosh), Sukhdev (Sushant Singh). Rajkumar Santoshi directed the project and the movie won Two National awards. The movie is about how Bhagat Singh fought for the freedom.
4. Bose : The Forgotten Hero (2004)
The movie is about journey of Indian Independence Leader - Subash Chandra Bose. Most of us would not be aware about this movie. Sachin Khedekar essayed role of Bose in this movie. Shyam Benegal directed the venture. The movie got One National Award for Art Direction.
