Maniratnam was down ad under with two consecutive flops 'Raavanan' and 'Kadal'. He bounced back strongly with the movie 'O Kaadhal Kanmani'. Dulquer Salman and Nithya Menon did lead roles. The movie is one of the profitable ventures in 2015. It was labelled as 'Blockbuster'.
There were lots of speculations regarding his next project. At the same time there were some chaos too. Dulquer Salman was roped in and later he was replaced. Karthi was pulled in and then he was also replaced. The speculations were put to rest with an official confirmation.
Fahad Fazil and Nani are the two male lead actors. Nithya Menon and Saiyami Kher are doing the two female leads. A.R.Rahman will be the composer and Ravi Varman will be the cinematographer. The movie is even titled as 'Vellai Pookal'. The movie was expected to have a release in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Now reports confirm that the movie will have one more male lead and female lead. Karthi and Shruti haasan are the front runners for this project. An official word regarding this is expected soon.
