Selvaraghavan was last seen as a director in the movie 'Irandam Ulagam'. After that he stayed away from direction. Bue he wrote script for 'Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam' and his spouse Geetanjali Selvaraghavan is making her directorial debut with this project.
Kola Baskar who has been a regular editor to Selvaraghavan is producing the movie. Editor Kola Bhaskar's son Balakrishna Kola is doing male lead role and Debutante Wamiqa Gabbi pairs against him. The trailer got some overwhelming response.
Music is composed by Achchu and Sridhar took care of cinematography. Vasanth Rukesh provides the cuts. U.J. Murugan handles art direction. The movie was expected to hit screens soon. Now the makers officially locked a release date.
The movie will hit screens on 1st of January. The news was officially confirmed by the makers. The movie is a bi-lingual and it will be releasing simultaneously in both versions. The movie recently visited censors and the censor board provided the movie 'A' certification.
