Sanjay Leela Bhansali made his debut as director with the movie 'Khamoshi : The Musical' in 1996. Since then he carved a niche for himself and he said Central Board of Film Certification has been great so far.
In recent times Censor board has faced lots of trouble and they were been victims for social media. Everyone criticized the censor board for various reasons. Especially it started when the kissing scenes were chopped in 'Tamasha' and 'Spectre'.
But Sanjay says, "I never had any problems with censor board all these years. When they see your intention and purity of work, they understand. I never had a bad experience. Some norms have to be followed else the purity in cinema will be lost. But I have been very fortunate that the censor board has been kind with me.
I have had a good experience with them. I firmly have the belief in my script and that is how I make movies. I revived Bajirao Mastani just like that. I kept praying that it should happen. I knew that at some point of time I would make the movie."
