1. Roja
The movie received positive acclamation which was directed by ManiRatnam. The movie starring Aravind Swamy and Madhubala have performed in the supreme roles. Aravind Swmay was kidnapped by the militants and finally Madhubala who was from Tirunelveli district rescues her husband from the militants’ hand and brings peace at last. A.R. Rahman has made a superb music composition.
2. Bombay
Mani Ratnam had directed the superb movie, where the Brahmin hero marries a Muslim girl and after their marriage they face many challenges. Their family is parted because of the Babri Masjid issue and there were lot of killings and attacks, finally the hero brings back peace after a long struggle in the riot.
3. Hey Ram
It was a superb flick which was written, organized and financed by Kamal Haasan. He has acted in the movie, where Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukherjee have made the supporting roles. The movie had a semi-fictional part and there was a patriotic feeling behind it.
4. Unnaipol Oruvan
The movie features Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal in the predominant roles. Kamal has acted as an ordinary layman who initially supports the terrorists and finally he kills them with the support of IG Mohanlal.
5. Indian
Kamal Haasan has acted with Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Sukanya and Goundamani in the lead roles. As a 70 year old man Kamal punishes all the corrupted individuals in the country. Even his son is also punished by the 70 year old actor who was also in the hands of corruption. S. Shankar has directed the flick phenomenally.
6. Thupakki
Vijay as a protagonist penalizes the terrorists as an Army officer and has shown that every army soldier makes many sacrifices for the nation. Despite of his family, he works in the border to protect our country which was conveyed through the movie. kajal has made the female lead in the picture.
7. Mudhalvan
Arjun has acted as a TV Journalist who becomes a CM of Tamilnadu against the action done by the ruling CM Raghuvaran. Arjun has acted tremendously and has proved to be a respectable Chief Minister by the people. S. Shankar had directed the flick excellently.
8. Bharathi
The film depicts the story of the freedom fighter Mahakavi Sibramaniya Bharathiyaar. Sathyaji Shinde has acted superbly typically like Bharatiyaar with good facial expressions. The film received award as the Best Feature Film of the year.
9. Veerapandiya Kattabomman
Shivaji Ganesan has acted as Kattabomman which was a historical monumental flick. Shivaji has made an outstanding performance in the flick with Gemini Ganesan, Padmini, S. Varalakshmi and Ragini in the predominant roles.
10. Madarasapattinam
The movie was taken during the rule of British in India. The movie features Arya and British actress Amy Jackson in the predominant roles. The story is about the British domination in India, where Amy from the Alien Organization romances an ordinary guy from India.
