Sonam Kapoor did role of flight attendant Neerja Bhanot for the movie 'Neerja'. She reprised role of Pan America flight attendant who lost her life trying to save the life of passengers from on board terrorists. The movie got released on 19th of February and it opened to good word of mouth.
The biopic is based on a real life incident which happened on 5th September 1986. Prashant Gupta did male lead along with Sonam Kapoor. Ram Madhvani directed the project and Atul Kasbekar produced it under Fox Star Studios banner.
Now in this case, Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai has watched the movie and she praised Neerja. She watched the movie at London during a special screening and she shared the image on social media. Sonam Kapoor thanked Malala. Malala said 'I am stronger than fear' and for Neerja 'fear gave her courage!
The movie directed by Ram Madhavani slowly gets the momentum and recently trade analysts confirmed that the movie crossed 50 Crores. Soon the movie will inch towards milestone of 100 Crores.
