Film maker Imtiaz Ali who recently scored a success with 'Tamasha' has made it clear that Short films are the future and everyone must make lots of short films. Recently he has made a short film 'India Tomorrow' and he said he will take digital route to promote it.
Imtiaz Ali said, "With 'India Tomorrow' Short film, I am opening new doors to digital world, to have conversations with interested people. I also have these kind of more powerful shorter stories that must be told every now and then. I personally feel web series and short films are exciting forms that hold potential in story telling and means of entertainment.
When we need to convey a point, a short film is more important as we don't need anything else. I can do that easily without any problem. I would say feature films is like your life and this is just an one night stand."
India Tomorrow is a five minute short film which features a sex worker having a conversation with her client about the stock market. The short film is being shared viral. Imtiaz said, "We promote this just through social media as we don't have much financial model."
