Super Star Rajinikanth received the Padma Vibhushan and actress Priyanka Chopra received Padma Shri award in a ceremony at New Delhi few minutes back. Rajinikanth was dressed in a traditional outfit and he received the Padma Vibhushan from President Pranab Mukherjee.
Similarly Priyanka Chopra looked lovely in a Saree. She wore a green saree and received the Padma Shri award. Singer Udit Narayan was awarded the Padma Bhushan. Earlier the Padma Awards happened in two ceremonies.
The first phase happened on March 28th. Actors Ajay Devgn and Anupam Kher and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar received their Padma Awards from President Pranab Mukherjee on March 28 th.
Similarly, Filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda, known for films like I Am Kalam and Kaun Kitne Paani Mein also received Padma Shri award. Veteran actor Saeed Jaffrey passed away at 86 was awarded Padma Shri posthumously.
