Tollywood and its audience is always having a special place for comedy and comedians. But if one has to speak about legends of comedy then only one man comes first. He is Jandhyala Subramanya Sastry who is also known as ‘Hasya Brahma’ by the film fraternity. It is twelve years since he passed away but his memories are still fresh. It was the birth anniversary of Jandhyala yesterday and though the film industry was busy with its daily work many of Jandhyala’s admirers remembered him. Jandhyala started his career as a playwright and his play ‘Ek Din Ka Sultan’ has been a record breaking creation.  Though films were never his agenda it was a chance meeting with senior actor Gummadi Venkateswara Rao and support from K Vishwanath that brought Jandhyala to Tollywood and from thereon there was no turning back. APHerald salutes this legendary filmmaker, writer and will always remember him for redefining comedy.
