In a recent interview he was asked about his affair with varalakshmi and he accepted his love on varalakshmi from childhood as a best friend and when he was asked about the marriage... marriage is about a big decision and there is lot to think when it comes to marriage!
He ignored the rumour of varalakshmi being the reason behind the conflict with sarath kumar (father of varalakshmi) . The only reason behind that is nadigar Sangam problem alone! It is to be noted that during nadigar sangam program in Sun tv when he was asked about his marriage.. he humourly said that he would marry a 'Lakshmigaramana pen' which denotes a beautiful girl in tamil!
