Mahesh Babu is clearly depressed and crest fallen right now. Of course this is due to his latest outing 'Brahmotsavam'. The movie completely opened to negative critics right from benefit shows and premiere shows. This has completely shattered the confidence levels of Mahesh Babu.
Even though the producer, director and Mahesh himself had no high hopes, they hoped the movie would have got some divided response. But the sluggish second half completely rattled the show. The movie thought of speaking on 'Family values' and traditions.
But the concept was completely taken in another way due to poor execution. The promotions was also done in an extensive manner to get a good reach. But everything just failed due to a pathetic screenplay. Mahesh Babu was impressed with Srikanth's ideas and narration, more than the script itself.
Mahesh has earlier roped in writers like Paruchuri, Ganesh Patro and Sri Ramana (of Mithunam fame) as they elevated a normal script to success level. The last time Mahesh got lashings is for 'Aagadu'. Even for 'Nenaokkadine' most of them praised him for taking risk. But this time, it is neither a bold attempt nor he experimented !
