Anjali is an Indian actress who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu movies. She made her debut in 2006 with the Telugu movie 'Photo'. Later she grabbed attention in the movie 'Kattrathu Tamizh' (2007) and she immediately received Filmfare Award for Best Female debutante.
Following that she got Filmfare in 2010 and 2011 with 'Angadi Theru' and 'Engeyum Epothum'. In Tollywood she set her foot with successful movies like Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Balupu, Masala, Geethanjali and Dictator. She became one of the leading actress in 2015.
Anjali hails from Razole, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. She has two brothers and a sister. After completing her education, she began acting in short films, which paved the way for her entry into the film industry. She also faced lots of controversies.
She openly said that she was harassed by her step mother Bharathi Devi and director Kalanjiyam. She even vanished and it was reported that she was missing. But the actress said she went to Mumbai as it was too stressful.
