The movie tanked at Box-Office and it ended up as one of the biggest disaster in Mahesh Babu's career. Just when Mahesh Babu and his fans are snapping out of the failure, TRS MLA Rasamayo Balakrishnan has lashed out the movie in a recent event.
He said he will watch a movie based on the content and he recently watched 'Brahmotsavam' by standing in a long queue. He said two movies, 'Brahmotsavam' and 'Bichagadu' released at the same time and 'Bichagadu' had seen 'Brahmotsavam' (Grand run) and 'Brahmotsavam' became 'Bichagadu' (Beggar)."

Srikanth Addala shaped the family drama 'Brahmotsavam' and Mahesh Babu did the male lead role. The project is produced by Prasad.V.Potluri under PVP cinemas banner. Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha Subhash essaed female lead roles.
Technical team featured Mickey.J.Meyer for music, Rathnavelu for cinematography and Sreekar Prasad for editing. Apart from the lead actors the supporting cast was filled with actors like Sathyaraj, Jayasudha, Naresh, Revathi, Tanikella Bharani and Brahmaji. Instead of praising 'Bichagadu', Rasamayi openly lashed out on a lead actor and this has caused ripples inside the industry.
