These days most of the Hollywood releases are dominating Indian Film industry. Last Friday, Hollywood release 'Independence Day: Resurgence' opened to Box-Office collections of Rs.4.70 Crores. The sequel to 1996 flick easily outperformed Bollywood releases.

Anurag Kashyap's 'Raman Raghav 2.0' just made Rs.1.10 Crore on its first day. Roland Emmerich's 'Independence Day 2' is the latest to join the club of Hollywood movies which has beaten Bollywood  offerings at Indian Box-Office this year.


Hollywood films have collected around $61 million in the first six months of 2016, within striking distance of the $62 million they made in all of 2014. Similarly two weeks back, 'The Conjuring 2' made Rs.5.25 Crore on its opening day, while Amitabh Bachchan's 'Te3n' just made Rs.2.61 Crores.

However Conjuring 2 has managed Rs.53.78 Crores by now and Te3n finished the collection with Rs.17.79 Crores. Even movies like The Jungle Book, Captain America: Civil War and Deadpool had beaten Hindi films with collections of 182.52 crore, 59.26 crore and 29.02 crore, respectively. A trade analyst said, "It's a great time for the Indian entertainment industry where both Hollywood and Bollywood have their own audiences."
