With a great hype and confidence the big star Kamal Haasan came with his film ‘Vishwaroopam’ but it has been going through a lot of trouble in its local state Tamil Nadu with the government banning the screening of the film as few Muslim organizations have complained that it is showing them in bad light even without watching the film.
Meanwhile, the film is getting mixed reviews from the critics though the public talk has been very positive. In terms of box office, the expected revenue of Rs 100 crores can put Kamal and his team in decent profits but due to the stopping of the screening they are facing losses. Since it is originally a Tamil film, it is important that the film releases in Tamil Nadu at the earliest.
The film has managed to attract the thinking audience and the urban centers so the worldwide response is expected to be good since overseas audience are giving good reports. But the stopping of the film has sparked anger among many like Prakash Raj, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajamouli and other celebrities. Even superstar Rajinikanth has urged that the film should be screened.
