Recently released Pelli Choopulu movie is doing well at box office with its trendy youth love content and an attractive screenplay, the movie is garnered over all areas and also which released without much expectations, created a huge post release buzz. It is to be noted that the movie don't have any star names in cast and neither big names in the technical crew.
With such a status, a movie getting such a warm welcome is only for its content. While the movie is counting some good numbers at box office it is unbelievably making an exceptional business in US as the movie has collected 687k USD till sunday. Even after the releaae of Srirastu Subhamastu and Manamantha with good reviews didn't stop the run of Pelli Choopulu.
$1M club in US is a prestigious mark for a foreign movie there and it has been achieved by star valued movies earlier. Mahesh Babu entered the club with his Dookudu (2011) and has 6 films in the list, highest for any actor. Pawan Kalyan started his count with Gabbar Singh and made it for 3 films. Jr NTR too made 3 films with his recent Nannaku Prematho. Allu Arjun tasted it with his Race Gurram and S/o Satyamurthy. Nani's Bhale Bhale Magadivoy too made the 1 million USD mark.
If we take senior heroes, only Akkineni Nagarjuna has a record of entering 1 million USD with Manam and Oopiri. While among directors SS Rajamouli's Eega has entered into 1 million USD club and his magnum opus Baahubali has broke all BO records in US making 6.7 million USD. Trivikram Srinivas also has good fan base in US. His recent outing A..Aa entered into 2 million USD becoming the third highest grossed film in US after Baahubali and Srimanthudu.
