'Janatha Garage' had a record breaking First week at the World Wide Box-Office. The movie even grossed Rs.100 Crores in its first weekend and became the first Non-Baahubali Telugu movie to do so. The movie also made some phenomenal records in Vizag, Nizam and few other areas.
The movie already made 90% recovery of distributors' money and will fetch profits to all. However, 'Janatha Garage' is heading towards a huge flop in a territory where it was expected to be the most profitable.
Yes ! Trade sources confirmed that the movie just made only Rs.3.22 Crores gross in Kerala, barely 40% recovery in its first week. The movie even failed to break Allu Arjun's movie 'Yodhavu' and 'Sarrainodu'. Allu Arjun's 'Sarrainodu' earned Rs.4.14 Crores gross in its first week.
But despite having Mohanlal, the movie couldn't even toppled 'Yodhavu'. As Kerala rights were pocketed for 8 Crores, it is for sure that the investors and distributors are going to face some huge losses. The losses are inevitable. Mohanlal never promoted the movie in Kerala and that has shown the result !
