Psychological Social Thriller Anniyan is one of best film of director Shankar and Vikram himself who plays the rile Ramanujam, an advocate who is dissatisfied with this society and fails to make people follow tge rules rightly, gets a psychological disorder of multiple personality disorder and changes as Anniyan to kill and punish people who override the laws of the nation. Vikram excelled in his role as a killer, innocent protagonist and romantic lover boy got him filmfare too.

Deiva Thirumagal

This is probably the sleeper performance by Vikram with a soft genre of sentimental movie without any actions and Vikram as a mentally disabled person trying to make his little daughter stay with him is sure to impress all the audience to hook up with his heavenly performance!

Shankar's revenge drama although not one of the best of the director, but Vikram with his hard work and acting made his body go high and low with his role as bodybuilder and a hunch back man who revenges the baddies who made him to that condition. There was a heavy makeup for his role in the film and with that he acted with high skills and filmfare came to him at ease.
