The wait for the Oscar is over; PVR Pictures ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ wins Oscar for Best Sound Editing. The sound editing team is on cloud nine after winning the glorious 85th Annual Academy Award. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, the movie was well appreciated. Winning the Oscar was an icing on the cake for the team.
Being a realistic movie the sound editing team worked really hard in creating the perfect sound. The award was shared between Zero Dark Thirty and Skyfall as the teams were tied after achieving a statistic dead heat in the voting for their Oscar category.
This was only the sixth tie in Academy Awards history. The most famous was back in 1968, when Katharine Hepburn and Barbra Streisand shared the best actress award for their work in A Lion in Winter and Funny Girl, respectively.
