According to reports, Mani Ratnam has sought for police protection because he is being chased constantly by the distributors of his recent film ‘Kadali’ which became a major disaster. There is also news that one distributor Mannan has filed a complaint alleging Mani has cheated him of Rs 16 crores.
Mani who had gone to Ooty to stay away from all this has now taken police protection. He has reportedly made it clear that he has nothing to do with the business of cinema because the entire rights were sold to Gemini Films. The case has been filed at the Abhirampuram police station in Chennai.
