Legendary actor of Indian cinema , still angry young man of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan has been chosen for NTR National Film Award for the year-2011. The AP Government on Saturday announced this prestigious award to Big B for his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Andhra Pradesh government gives this award, instituted in 1996 in the name of Telugu film legend and former Chief Minister of the state, every year to an outstanding film personality. The award carries a cash component of Rs 5 lakh besides a memento and a citation.   Filmmaker Shyam Benegal was named for the B.N. Reddy national film award, another filmmaker and Padmalaya studio owner G. Adiseshagiri Rao was selected for the Nagireddy-Chakrapani Award. Tollywood veteran Kaikala Satyanarayana was selected for the Raghupati Venkaiah award. The awards will be presented on Ugadi along with Nandi Awards, the government said in a press release
