Sanjay Dutt has been going through a lot of turmoil in the last few weeks and this was due to the Apex Court’s judgment on his going to prison. Now, the latest development is about Sanjay applying for a six month extension before he goes inside jail on the grounds that he has films to complete costing around Rs 300 crores. He has got four weeks extension and that’s final. But this has raised a debate among many as to how right is it to give an extension. Technically speaking, no form of extension should be granted to someone who is found guilty in the court of law. But here, the situation is rather unique because many others are getting affected in the process. Once Sanjay Dutt goes inside the jail there is no guarantee whether he can come out before his term ends and that would mean huge losses to the filmmakers. But whether he can complete all his commitments in the four week span is also something to be seen. All in all, this is indeed a complex situation to Sanjay and those working with him.
