Nagarjuna's Devotional movie, Om Namo Venkateshaya was complete a long back. But then they have avoided Sankranthi release as they felt the devotional film should have no competition. But then the competition has come unexpectedly. Singham-3 which was supposed to release for Republic Day (Today) was postponed in the last minute due to the Jallikattu Protests in the neighbouring state.
The Team of Singham-3 announced that the movie will simultaneously release in Telugu and Tamil on February 10th. It will mean a clash with Nagarjuna's Om Namo Venkateshaya which is being planned for February 10th. The movie has got less demand from Ceeded and Nagarjuna himself is going to distribute the movie there by setting up a distribution office.
Annapurna Studios have distribution officers in areas like Uttarandhra and Krishna, even though they do not distribute the movies frequently. Now they are expanding their sway to Ceeded as well. But then Ceeded movie business is very unorganized while the other areas are organized. So, Nagarjuna is taking a big risk.
