Superstar Rajinikanth and Director Shankar's next magnum opus "2.0", the sequel of Robot is almost Complete. The shooting is all complete except for a song and some patch work. The entire shooting is expected to be complete by the end of this month. And from then there is an elaborate post-production schedule.
The movie is being planned for October 18th release as Diwali Special. The movie has now created a sensation in satellite rights market. Leading Entertainment Channel, Zee TV acquired satellite rights (3 languages) of the film for a humongous price of 110+ Crore which is never before heard price in Indian Cinema.
This is the highest for any film ever made in Indian film history. The movie budget is around 350 Crore. For the first time, Shankar is shooting a film in 3D. This is the first time, Amy Jackson is romancing the Superstar. AR Rahman is composing music for the film. He scored music for Robot as well.
