Powerstar Pawan Kalyan's Katamarayudu has managed to survive in the opening weekend with decent numbers. The film has had a comparatively better Saturday and Sunday and is estimated to have earned around 42 - 43 Cr Worldwide Share which is disappointing given the huge costs involved.
Anything below 70 Crore Share will be called as a disastrous performance. The movie had registered a Pre-Release Business of 102 Crore which is unprecedented for a movie with a non-star director. In all probability, the movie is likely to end up as another disaster for Pawan Kalyan.
That means Pawan Kalyan has two disasters on a trot after Sardaar Gabbar Singh. These disasters come at a time when Pawan Kalyan is contemplating retirement from films as he is going to take a plunge into full-time politics. Now, it is the responsibility of Trivikram Srinivas to deliver a big hit and give a befitting send off to Pawan Kalyan which will be useful in politics as well.
