Senior Director Maniratnam and Tamil Young Star Hero, Karthi's Cheliya is all set for a grand release this Friday. The promotions are going on at a brisk pace and the makers are releasing the countdown posters to create interest in the film. The posters have Karthi seen as a pilot and the trailers showcase some strong action set up with a military backdrop.
Going by the posters, everyone sense that the movie is an action film and will have some hardcore military or war kind of scenes featuring Karthi. But then, the fact is that the film is an out and out love story and does not have serious action episodes.
Probably, the makers are doing some wrong promotions which may backfire as the audience will come to theaters with different expectations. Dil Raju has bagged the Telugu Rights of the movie and he will be in big risk if these promotions go wrong.
