Lavanya Tripathi started her career as a model and slowly became a full-fledged actress. Within a very short period, the actress entered the film industry. She started her career with Tamil movie 'Brahman' where she paired with Director cum Actor Sasikumar.
But after that, she shifted gears and moved to Telugu. Now, she is heading back to Tamil after a gap of 3 years with the movie 'Maayavan'. She pairs with Sandeep Kishan in this movie. Regarding the gap of 3 years, she said, "I enjoyed the script of 'Brahmman'.
The movie also came so well. But it never became a successful one. I lacked all chances and I was forced to go to Telugu industry. I grabbed chances with star actors and that helped me to gain some market. So I couldn't come back to Tamil.
The gap also widened. Now, I am back to Tamil with a powerful film 'Maayavan'. I have a prominent role. I am also coming as an investigating officer who finds a Psycho Killer. Director C.V.Kumar is so soft spoken. He doesn't even raise his voice in shooting spot."
