Tharun Bhascker made his directional debut last year, Pellichoopulu which went on to become a blockbuster. The movie has brought huge profits to everyone involved in the movie trade and is all set to be remade in Tamil, Hindi and Kannada industries very soon.
Back then when IIFA refused an award to the movie, the director hit back them hard saying that they all are ignoring real talent being slaves to the Stars. Later Pellichoopulu has got a National Award and Tharun explained about the reason for his comments on IIFA that day.
Tharun went on to say many Awards are all about TRPs. He also went on to say NTR Junior can get them TRPs but not Tharun Bhascker. The budding director repeated about NTR getting an award as if the star hero does not deserve one. NTR fans are feeling that this is an insult to their hero.
