Tollywood industry sources have made a statement that blockbuster films from other languages are flopping big time in Tollywood. Surely this is a statement that Telugu industry couldn't deny. Earlier the likes of Chiranjeevi have their biggest hits through remakes, but these days it became a bleak possibility due to the directors. Only a few of them have succeeded in retaining the original soul of the film while others failed to remake them well.

It was stated that Khaidi No 150 (Tamil Kaththi) and Premam (Malayalam Premam) have done tremendously well at box office. Despite breaking the original soul, directors of these movies have come out with a new version of their own for these movies and scored big. But the ones who made a frame-by-frame remake of hits from other languages have bitten the dust.

Movies like Donarudu (Hindi Vicky Donor), Geddam Gang (Tamil Soodu Kavvum) and recently Katamrayaudu (Veeram remake) are the examples of how not to remake a film. Directors have completely lost the soul of the film and focused only on adding more commercial masala to the original, thereby spoiling the total essence. Now, another film is likely to join this league of bad remakes.

Despite picking up a super hit and solid sex comedy from Bollywood in the name of 'Hunterr', Telugu film "Babu Baga Busy" had ended up getting a disastrous talk on Day 1 itself. Audiences who have already seen the original Hindi film shared, "In the original, there is a travel of the protagonist, but here it looked like an assembly of pieces".
