Recent increase in theater rents across USA reduces the theatrical shares by a huge margin. As per current trend, distributor will only get 45% of the total gross collection. So, the buyers are not in a position to bid huge amounts for both the films.
Earlier both the films are expecting 20 Crore from Overseas deals but now have come down to 17 Crore. But even then, there are no takers. It has become a huge risk for the buyers to invest so much because they could end up in severe losses if the films flop. Also the returns would be very less even if they turn out successful
