Okay, fellas! It's not just Salman's 'Sultan' First Look poster which is inspired for 'Mersal'. A little birdie within the team told us that the story of 'Mersal' has been lifted from Kamal Haasan's yesteryear movie 'Devar Magan'.
Director Atlee is often known to get inspired from old Tamil movies. His debut movie 'Raja Rani' was similar to 'Mounaragam' and his next movie 'Theri' was similar to 'Sathriyan'. Now, his 'Mersal' will be similar to Kamal Haasan's 'Devarmagan'.
Vijay will be seen in modern getup in the first half and rural get up in the second half. Sathyaraj's character will be blended with Late.Sivaji Ganesan's character. SJ Suryah who is doing the villain role will be reprising the role of Nassar.
Gowthami's role will be done by Samantha and Revathy's role will be done by Nithya Menen. So, you can ask, where goes Kajal Aggarwal and Vijay's magician get-up? We hope at least in those 2 characters we see freshness.
