Superstar Rajinikanth and Director Shankar's next magnum opus "2.0", the sequel of Robot is almost Complete. Except for Climax, the movie shooting is complete. 2.0 which was earlier planned for Diwali release is pushed to 25th January 2018 as Republic Day Weekend Special due to the VFX delays. On the other side, the team is planning the promotions in a big way.
The race for the Telugu Rights of 2.0 is very intense. Sai Korrapati made an offer of 60 Crore for the Rights of the movie in Telugu States but then, the makers are expecting nothing less than 75 Crore. Even 60 Crore is the biggest ever price offered for any dubbing movie in Telugu.
Sources say that the movie budget has crossed more than 400 Crore. This is the first time British Beauty Amy Jackson is romancing the Superstar. For the first time, Shankar is shooting a film in 3D. AR Rahman is composing music for the film. He scored music for Robot as well.
