Under the directorial of Soundarya Rajinikanth, and bankrolled by Kalaipuli S. Thanu, Dhanush is acting in Velayilla Pattadhaari Part II. Shan Roldon is scoring the music and recently at Mumbai the movie’s audio and trailer launch was held.
Dhanush, Amala Paul and Bollywood's actress Amala Paul are acting in supreme roles. At the trailer launch producer Thanu said this movie will be a big turning point for Soundarya and Dhanush. Kajol had made her re-entry in Tamil after twenty years. Soundarya Rajinikanth thanked Dhanush and Thanu for believing her and they had given her this opportunity. Soundarya had previously directed Rajini’s Kochadaiyaan, where Rajini had paired Deepika Padukone.
Dhanush when speaking at the event said this movie highlights women's thought process. Dhanush further said that he is bankrolling for Kaala and he said he is interested to act at least in a small portion in the movie. Currently the movie shoot is going in full swing.
