Actor Ajithkumar, fondly called Thala by his millions of fans all over the world is a happy man, as his latest release, the spy action thriller Vivegam directed by Siva, co-starring Vivek Oberoi as the antagonist and Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead has performed well in many centres, crossing the 100 crores mark in the domestic box office alone and is on the way to become Ajith's biggest ever grosser.
The film featured Ajith as Ajay Kumar aka AK, a counter terrorist squad officer who protects the world from a disaster, besides overcoming the betrayal by people he trusts. Vivegam had Ajith's best ever physique in recent years, as the actor underwent a strict diet regime and workouts, and had the actor performing stunning stunts without using stunt dupes. While performing one of those risky stunt sequences in Bulgaria, the actor got his shoulder injured, and though the doctors had advised him to take treatment, the actor continued shooting for the movie.
Now, the actor has undergone a minor shoulder surgery, and he will be out of action for 3 months. On the work front, it's rumoured that Ajith has 2 options in hand for his 58th flick - a historical by Vishnuvardhan based on Chola dynasty and a cop flick by Siva again. Once Ajith makes the choice, the film will begin shooting by January 2018 and will target a Deepavali 2018 release.
