Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi, called Makkal Selvan by his numerous fans, is going through the best phase of his career, as he has been on a high post his 2015 career redeeming Blockbuster Naanum Rowdythaan with Nayantara. The actor had 5 releases last year, with most of them becoming success stories, and he continued the fine form this year too with 2 big Blockbusters - the media exposing Kavan by K.V.Anand, and the cop- gangster action saga Vikram Vedha co-starring Madhavan, directed by Pushkar-Gayatri.
The actor is all set to make his Telugu debut as well, as he has been signed to play a vital role with negative shades in the upcoming historical Sye Raa starring Megastar Chiranjeevi as freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Besides, the actor has been working on numerous projects in Tamil like the rural flick Karuppan (September 29 release), Oru nalla naal paathu solren, 96 with Trisha, besides critically acclaimed 2011 flick Aaranya Kaandam fame Thiagarajan Kumararaja's upcoming flick costarring Fahadh Faasil, Samantha.
Director Thiagarajan Kumararaja released a still from his movie on his Twitter account, and it was the image of a lady. To the surprise and shock of everyone, it was none other than Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi himself, who plays a character named Shilpa in the flick. The character was earlier rumoured to be that of a transgender and will require Vijay Sethupathi to sport two contrasting looks in the movie. Kadhaigal, the film is now called Super Deluxe and is expected to release early next year.
