Actor Dhanush, who last scored a hit as an actor with his dual role treat Kodi last year, and as a director with Paa Paandi this year (The Rajkiran - Revathi starrer was his debut!) is on a high with back to back commitments like Vada Chennai (which is a trilogy) directed by his favorite Vetrimaran, besides his long-delayed Enai Nokki Paayum Thoatta by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
The actor is soon set to begin working on yet another interesting project, and this is gonna be the sequel to his 2015 commercial success Maari. Directed by Balaji Mohan of Kaadhalil Sothappuvathu Yeppadi and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum fame, the movie was about a local Don, who settles scores with the evils in his area and ultimately becomes triumphant.
A few days back, the Director Balaji made an announcement that Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas will play Maari's nemesis in Maari 2, and today it has been revealed that the lead lady of this sequel is gonna be the Premam, Fidaa cutie Sai Pallavi. The actress will play a meaty role, as the director has revealed. With this, Dhanush completes pairing with the beauty Trinity of Premam (Malayalam) - Kodi with Anupama Parameswaran, Paa Paandi with Madonna Sebastien, and now Maari 2 with the gorgeous Sai Pallavi. Maari 2 will be a proper Tamil/ Telugu Bilingual.
