Promising young hero Sharwanand, who had a great start to 2017 with the Superhit national award-winning Shatamanam Bhavathi, failed miserably with his comic cop drama Radha, which sank without a trace. However, he has struck big at the box office with his latest offering Mahanubhavudu.
The film directed by Maruthi has Sharwanand playing a person with obsessive-compulsive disorder, with extreme focus on cleanliness and hygiene, which impacts his love life. Costarring Petite Beauty Mehreen Pirzada and veteran Nasser, the film has struck chords with the audience big time, thanks to the terrific humor and comic sequences involving Sharwa and Vennela Kishore.
The response to Mahanubhavudu has been terrific, as the film had grossed more than 20 crores in its opening weekend itself, thereby very soon making its way to become Sharwa's biggest blockbuster and Maruthi's grand comeback. Another good news is that the film will be added in 30 more screens in Hyderabad, a rarity for a medium budget flick.
