Bollywood’s sources have stated that the looks of
Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh had already made people
impatient to watch Padmavati and the trailer, which released recently,
literally broke the internet. Meanwhile few hours after launching the trailer digitally, Ranveer went
live on his Instagram page and thanked everyone for their overwhelming response
to the trailer.
He stated, "Sanjay Sir told him the story and he understood the canvas of the movie. He knew this is set out to be special. All of a sudden he is dying to watch the movie. Regardless of the response and he don't know what will happen to him when he sees this movie. It was a very difficult character to play. He likes to spread cheer and laughter and to keep the atmosphere light even if it means making stupid jokes and acting silly and crass. But, when he became Alauddin Khilji for the movie, there’s no trace of that person”.
Ranveer added that he is almost done now and have to say what he told himself
holds true to some extent. All the darkness has been lived out, it’s been
addressed. It’s almost like therapy.”
