While it was expected that the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Director Shankar's Magnum Opus sci-fi flick 2.0, the sequel to his 2009 blockbuster Endhiran will release on January 26, despite the delays in graphics work and extensive post-production activities, now there's a new update on the movie.
The industry is abuzz with news that the big budget entertainer will finally hit screens on April 13, 2018, coinciding with the Tamil New Year festival. The film co-stars Akshay Kumar (Whose Padman releases on January 26 as planned), Brit babe Amy Jackson, and has music by AR Rahman.
With the delayed release of 2.0 from its planned date, there's impact on the other movie Rajnikanth is a part of, as well. The Pa.Ranjith Directorial Kaala, which was initially scheduled to release in Summer 2018, will now Release on August 15, independence day. Costarring Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Sampath, Eswari Rao, Kaala is about a Dharavi based gangster played by Rajnikanth.

However, fans have vented their rage on the social media as the team has never kept their promises. The teaser which was expected to release with a promised date was never released. Also, the release date has been postponed several times since Diwali 2017. The pre-planning has been worse and the fans are absolutely fed up. They are not ready to buy any press statements released even by the Official team. The comparisons are already on, as 'Baahubali' team kept their promises and released on time.
