Natural star Nani, who had earlier scored two hits this year with Nenu Local and Ninnukori, is back on screens with MCA Middle class Abbayi directed by Venu Sriram which released recently. The movie had been much expected as it was anticipated to complete a hat-trick of Hits for Nani and also for Nani's transformation to a mass hero.
MCA had made a pre-release Business of 24 crores in AP and Telangana, and 3.5 crores overseas, and most of the places in AP/TG were personally released by Dil Raju himself. With the initial collections slowly fading after the mixed response to the movie, the movie inched to half million mark at US box office, whereas it should be able to collect 30 crores overall to become a safe venture. However, that seems an impossible task for now!
Though the first day collections are promising for MCA Middle class Abbayi, the coming days will be very tough to sustain, as yet another embodiment movie, Hello staring Akhil and directed by Vikram Kumar released today Amidst huge expectations and is expected to eat into a lion's share of MCA collections.
With Nani's star power also, it Will be a daunting task for MCA to enter the break-even league, let's wait and see if Nani magic and family values, Bhumika's reentry bring some Cheers for middle-class Abbayi. So, it's clear after 'SPYder' (Nizam area), it's another flop for Dil Raju.
