Director Maruthi, who began with coming of age Romantic comedies like Ee Rojullo, Bus stop etc, made at shoestring budget and scoring good at the box office before switching to tales with a concept and humour laced in them, is in prime form, after delivering a blockbuster Mahanubhavudu despite releasing close to biggies like Jr NTR's Jai Lava Kusa Ave Mahesh Babu starrer SPYder.
His last few flicks were based on either medical conditions or character traits of the lead heroes of those films, namely Bhale Bhale Magadivoy with Nani playing a memory loss guy, Babu Bangaram with Venky playing a selfish guy and Mahanubhavudu with Sharwanand playing a cleanliness-obsessed guy who creates troubles. Anu Emmanuel will also be seen in an interesting role and she is anticipating the start of shooting.
Now, it has been revealed that Maruthi's next, tentatively titled Sailaja Reddy Alludu will be based on lead characters who both have severe ego issues, and the movie will be the love story of the 2 egoistic characters. The film has Nag Chaitanya and Anu Emmanuel playing the lead pair, and Ramya Krishnan in an important supporting role.
