It was said that Shruti has to wear some revealing outfits and Shruti was totally uncomfortable in it. The actress asked to have a change of clothes and as the costume designer denied, it leads to the war of words.
Ultimately, the Director of the movie spoke in favor of the costume designer and this annoyed Shruti Haasan even more. She decided to quit immediately and she walked out of the project. Shruti however never responded to any allegations made by the Director's wife later on.
