Actress Oviya, the mallu Beauty ventured into films with Vemal starrer Kalavani, and after its success went on to star in more films which however couldn't quite succeed at the box office, Making her a forgotten Beauty. She tried her luck even in Malayalam and few b grade Hindi movies, in vain.
However, Oviya gained immense popularity within 50 days , as she appeared this July - August in the Tamil television reality show Bigg Boss hosted by Kamal Hassan in Vijay TV. Her bold acts and cute, natural presence and carving an identity for herself as someone who was being herself, made her a bigger star.
Post the success of her Bigg Boss stint, she has bagged three films, all of which happen to be horror flicks. The first will be Kaatteri costarring Vaibhav and directed by Deekay of Yaamirukka Bayamey and Kavalai vendaam fame. The second is Muni 4 aka Kanchana 3 by Raghava Lawrence, and the 3rd is Pallu padama paathuka directed by Vijay varadharaj of temple monkeys YouTube channel fame. Both the movies will have Oviya excelling in glamour.
