Young hero Karthi, who started off his career in a promising manner with blockbuster Paruthi Veeran, and hits like Aayirathil Oruvan, Naan Mahaan Alla, and Paiya, later faded out slowly with his attempt to be a mass hero and starring in cliched and stereotypical roles and plots, with his career ultimately losing steam.
However, he came back stronger with commercial hits like Komban and the bilingual success Thozha but fell down again with back to back disasters Kaashmora and Kaatru Veliyidai. After all the setbacks, he struck big time with his last release, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru by H Vinoth, which received rave reviews and collected more than 60 Crores, becoming Karthi's biggest blockbuster.
Now, Karthi is currently shooting near Tenkasi for a movie directed by Pandiraj which was announced last year during the audio launch of Sema starring GV Prakash. This movie produced by Suriya's 2D entertainment banner already has Vanamagan girl Sayyeshaa and Priya Bhavani Shankar as female leads.
Now it has been revealed that the film will also have Thondan and Sema heroine Arthana Binu as 3rd lead. The village-based family film has been tentatively titled as Vivasayi. Stay tuned for more updates.
