The Handsome hunk Suriya is all set to grace screens this Pongal/ Sankranthi with his upcoming con comedy flick Thaanaa Serndha Koottam / Gang, releasing simultaneously in both Tamil and Telugu, as he's established himself as a bankable and saleable hero in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well, as he became a household name with blockbusters like Ghajini and Yamudu.
The film was in two legal troubles, as one of the lines in the superhit chartbuster number Sodakku mela sodakku was quoted to be against the ruling TN government, by an Admk member, but however, the plea was dismissed, while also turning out to be free promotion for the most expected movie of Pongal season.
Thaanaa Serndha Koottam also had another legal issue, as actor Prashanth had said that he had acquired the remake rights of Bollywood blockbuster Special 26 based on which Thaanaa Serndha Koottam is reportedly made. A case was filed by Prashanth's mother Shanthi, at the Madras High court, but the petition was dismissed, Making it all clear for Vignesh Shivan's Thaanaa Serndha Koottam/Gang to release worldwide on January 12.
