Director Nandini Reddy made a stunning debut with the Nani - Nithya Menen starrer feel-good entertainer Ala Modalaindi, which made heads turn and look at her in awe, as she had handled emotions and humor and had presented a likable love story with the cute lead pair. Following the success, she was flooded with offers, but she chose a flick that changed her fortunes.
Nandini next directed the then lovebirds, Siddharth and Samantha in the humorous wedding planner drama Jabardasth, which became a disaster, thanks to its lackluster treatment and the movie bearing huge resemblances to the Bollywood superhit Band Baaja Baaraat, which was also remade in Telugu and Tamil with Nani. The movie not just ended a flop, but also made her a failure.

However, she had temporary respite, as she delivered a sleeper hit in the form of the feel-good marriage drama Kalyana Vaibhogame, starring Naga Shourya and Malavika, which turned out to be a commercially safe venture. She then followed it up with the hit web series Mana Mugguri Love Story starring Navdeep and Tejaswi Madiwada, which became an instant success, following which she has now penned script for a big budget web series that will be directed by Ajay Bhuyan of Dhada fame, and will star Jagapathi Babu, Sidhu Jonalagadda, and Posani, and will revolve around film industry.
